Caterpillar Slime: Remastered
Caterpillar Slime : Remastered
Originally greenlit for development in 1994 for the Super Indie City Konsole (S.I.C.K), Caterpillar Slime soon ran into trouble when it became clear the early-gen console couldn't handle the taxing physics and multiplayer gameplay. The project was eventually abandoned and forgotten until a copy was discovered at a Chicago garage sale. This is that game, remastered for modern machines.
In this game you play as a single segment of a caterpillar slime. You stick to surfaces and must bounce around to get from point a to b. When other players connect you become tethered together and must work together to succeed.
Best played multiplayer (up to 8 players), must connect a new controller for player to register, best played with a controller. Works for single-player but not designed with single-player in mind.
Controller: South button to jump, L-Stick to aim jump
Keyboard: SPACE to jump, WASD to aim jump direction
This is my first time making both a platformer and a physics based game so it's a little crusty for sure, hopefully I'll be able to finesse the physics/movement/mechanics with some trial and error, feedback much appreciated!
